PROFESSIONAL GRADE COACHING AND PROGRAMMING

TTA Practice Structure

  1. There are 3 Aspects to On-Court Tennis Development

    1. Private Coaching (10%)

    2. Competitive/ On-Task Practice Time (70%)

      1. TV makes us think that what it takes to be successful in tennis is beautiful groundstrokes, perfect shot placement, and out-hitting our opponent.

      2. The Best Kept Secret in Tennis is that it’s way easier to be successful by letting your opponent make mistakes than going for winners ourselves.

      3. Development comes from building from a place of consistency, not a place of perfection.

    3. Challenging Tournament Play (20%)

Critical Thinking Development

Why do you do what you do?

  • Perhaps the most important thing we can do for TTA students is to help them learn to think critically.

  • Learning to think well about the world around them, themselves, and their purpose is a skill that will serve them far more than any tennis stroke
